The news of Jermilyn’s untimely demise on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, has left his family, friends, and teammates devastated. This tragic loss has cast a shadow over the community, as they come to terms with the loss of a bright young star.

The Tragic Incident at Crow Creek Park

On Saturday evening, at approximately 6:27 p.m., the Bettendorf Police Department received multiple distress calls regarding Jermilyn Gardner.

Reports indicated that Jermilyn had drowned while swimming in the quarry at Crow Creek Park. Responding swiftly, the police and the Bettendorf Fire Department initiated an extensive search operation. A boat was launched to aid in the search efforts.

Unfortunately, the life of the 16-year-old Jermilyn Gardner was claimed, and he was pronounced dead at approximately 8:27 p.m.
