Brian Mitton Obituary, Visitatio, and Funeral Details
We regret to inform you that Brian Mitton, 81, of Shemogue, New Brunswick, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton. Son of the late Job and Isabel (Trenholm) Mitton, Brian was born in Bayfield.
In addition to hunting, bar clamming, and spending time in his cottage on the ice in Shemogue Harbour during the winter, Brian loved to fish for smelts. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards with pals at the Cape Tormentine Legion, and playing a nice game of crib.

As a spouse, father, grandpa, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, he was a loving and compassionate man.
Myrna Trenholm, Shemogue, his wife, and their children Michael (Linda), Shemogue, Patti Campbell, ON, and Theresa (Ernie) Boutilier, Cape Town, survive him.
In addition to his parents, Brian was also preceded in death by his son Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Cathy, and brother-in-law Leslie Fillmore.
The Dr. George’s L. Dumont Hospital personnel in Moncton has our family’s sincere gratitude for their kindness and care during Brian’s hospitalization.

Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port Elgin, New Brunswick (506-364-1300), is in charge of making the arrangements. Brian’s desires were honored, and cremation has already taken place. A funeral service will be performed on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in Port Elgin, New Brunswick, at 3 West Main Street.
