Clive Standen is a British actor who was born on a British-based Army in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland, and grew up in England’s East Midlands. He was given birth to on July 22, 1981.

He is best known for his roles as the battle-hardened warrior “Gawain,” a series regular in the Starz networks TV series “Camelot,” and as “Archer,” the dashing brother of Robin Hood, in the BBC TV series “Robin Hood.” Both of these roles earned Standen widespread critical acclaim, with many members of the national press likening him to Errol Flynn for his endearing but edgy performance and seemingly effortless sword-fighting skill.

At the conclusion of the third season, there was great speculation that “Archer” would take on the role of Robin Hood after the death of his brother and become the new protagonist of the program.

Additionally, Clive is well-known for his prior appearances as Private Harris in the British science fiction program “Doctor Who.”
