Colonel Vance J. Klosinski Dies From Cancer, Former USAG Rhieinland-Pfalz commander
Commander of U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz, Colonel Vance J. Klosinski, has passed away.
It was on July 22, 2020, that Colonel Klosinski took command of USAG Rhieinland-Pfalz. Klosinski is a Wisconsin native and former infantry platoon leader with the 10th Mountain Division and Special Forces officer. He served in a number of different special operations commands all over the world in addition to postings at the Pentagon and the Army’s staff.
As they mourn the loss of a husband, father, and great military leader, Col. Reid E. Furman, commander of USAG Rheinland-Pfalz, said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Abbie, his children, the Klosinski family, and his friends.”
