Dr. Alayn Govea, MD – Lakewood, CA
He received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of medicine. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of California in San Francisco before completing his fellowships in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at University of California in San Diego. During his interventional cardiology fellowship, Dr. Govea received specialized training in structural heart disease including transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR/TAVI), MitraClips, and left atrial appendage occlusion devices (Watchman device). Additionally, he developed skills in complex coronary interventions, hemodynamic support placement and management, and peripheral arterial disease interventions.
