Dr. Daniel Cuozzo, DO – Scarborough, ME

Dr. Daniel Cuozzo, board-certified dermatologist, has been serving patients for over 25 years. Prior to joining Optima Dermatology, he practiced at Beebe Medical Group in Lewes, Delaware for more than a decade, where he also served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Before Beebe Medical Group, Dr. Cuozzo spent 12 years with Bassett Healthcare Network in Cooperstown, New York where he developed the Mohs Surgery program, supervised a team of providers, and taught medical students. He was also in the U.S. Army Medical Corps for 9 years, serving as a flight/brigade surgeon, company commander in Desert Storm, and chief of dermatology at Fort Bragg, N.C. He was honored with several awards, including the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Combat Medical Badge. Dr. Cuozzo completed his residency training in Dermatology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery degree in 1987 from University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science in Des Moines, Iowa. Prior to medical school, he graduated from Union College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Cuozzo is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and Association of Military Dermatologists and was named a Top Doctor in Delaware in 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. Dr. Cuozzo looks forward to providing expert care for patients of all ages in the greater Portland area.
