Dr. James Sublett, MD – Anchorage, KY
James L. Sublett, MD, is the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Family Allergy & Asthma. Based in Louisville, FAA has grown into a multi-state regional practice of 95 physicians and 25 APPs with 105 offices in Arkansas,
Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, & Tennessee. Dr. Sublett is a Past President of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). He currently serves as the College’s Executive Director for Advocacy and Governmental Affairs. He also has been honored by the College as a Distinguished Fellow and the Gold Headed Cane Lifetime Achievement Award. He serves on the Board for the World Allergy Organization. In addition, Dr. Sublett sits on several other boards, including the University of Louisville President's Advisory Council and the Norton Healthcare Board of Trustees. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and for over 20 years served as the Section Chief of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology.
He is regarded as an expert on the effects of air pollution on human health, especially related to indoor air pollution resulting from both outdoor and indoor sources. He is a frequently invited national and international speaker on medical socio-economics, anaphylaxis, asthma, and indoor environmental issues.
He received both his BA and MD degrees from the University of Louisville. He completed a residency in Pediatrics and a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital, University of Louisville School of Medicine.
He is married and has four adult children, four grandchildren, and lives with his wife, Lelia, in Anchorage, KY.
