I established the Bristol Neurosurgical Associates in July 1985 after completing my neurosurgical residency at the Semmes Murphey Clinic in Memphis,Tenn under the chairmanship of the late Dr. James T. Robertson. As part of my practice, I established a multi specialty clinic including orthopedic surgery, physiatry, and neuropsychology supported by cutting edge digital electronic medical records and practice management. TriCitiesSpine spine was created as an subsidiary of Bristol Neurosurgical Associates to emphasis our management of spinal disease. The Renaissance Outpatient Surgery Center was developed by myself and an orthopedic surgeon, the late Dr. William McIlwain.
After 37 years of general neurosurgical practice, I expanded my professional activities to Tennessee Innovations,LLC which provides locums coverage in Virginia, Alabama, Iowa, and Colorado as well as medico-legal assessment and testimony. Along the way, I have obtained my pilot instrument rated certificate, working on my commercial rating, and helped develop a Virginia organic corn farm, Sidney-Vale Farm, at Natural Bridge. I look forward from hearing from colleagues and friends.
