With the sinking of the ship as the turning point of the story, Titanic follows Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) and Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio), two passengers from different social classes who fall in love aboard the Titanic during its ill-fated maiden voyage.
You probably already knew that Jack and Rose, the main characters in the 1997 movie Titanic, weren’t real.
When will Titanic 2 be released?
A sequel to “Titanic” called “Titanic 2: The Return of Jack” is scheduled for release in 2020.
However, a sequel to the movie “Titanic” is not hitting theaters in 2020. This movie trailer (which can be viewed below) was created by YouTube user VJ4rawr2 and posted on Oct. 18, 2019.

When was the Titanic found?
The wreckage of the Titanic was found on September 1, 1985, during an expedition led by Jean-Louis Michel and Robert Ballard, who discovered that the ship had in fact split apart, as it was long believed it sunk in one piece.
Of course, the sinking of the Titanic after hitting an iceberg really happened. On April 14, 1912, at 11:40 p.m. (ship’s time), the crew spotted an iceberg and alerted the bridge. First Officer Willaim Murdoch ordered the ship to be steered around the iceberg and the engines to be stopped, but there wasn’t enough time, and the starboard side of the ship hit the iceberg. The hit created a series of holes below the waterline, and though the hull was not punctured, it was dented and allowed water to seep in. As depicted in the movie, pieces of the iceberg landed on the promenade deck, according to survivors.
When the Titanic hit the iceberg and began to sink, Margaret helped other passengers board the lifeboats and had to be persuaded to leave the ship in a lifeboat (Lifeboat No. 6). Once there, she urged that the lifeboat went back to save more people, but the crewman opposed.
A little over two and a half hours after Titanic hit the iceberg, the boat deck dipped underwater and the sea poured in through open hatches and grates, and as its unsupported stern rose out of the water, the ship broke into two pieces.

What is the Titanic II?
900. Titanic II is a planned passenger ocean liner intended to be a functional modern-day replica of the Olympic -class RMS Titanic . The new ship is planned to have a gross tonnage (GT) of 56,000, while the original ship measured about 46,000 gross register tons (GRT).
When the project was first announced in 2012, Palmer claimed that construction would begin before the end of the year, with a 2016 launch. The following year, reports emerged that Clive Palmer was experiencing financial difficulties. The start of construction was postponed to March 2014, then to late 2014. When construction had still not begun in 2015 a spokesman for Palmer said the project had merely been delayed, and that the new ship would be launched in 2018—two years later than initially planned. However, Deltamarin had told an Australian Broadcasting Corporation journalist that work on the Titanic II project had been halted, while workers at the Chinese shipyard identified as the likely site of construction were highly skeptical that the project would ever move beyond the proposal stage and that the Blue Star Line trademark was “abandoned.”
For economic reasons, the steam engines and coal-fired boilers of the original Titanic would be replaced with a modern diesel-electric pro pulsion system. The space which housed the boilers would be used for crew quarters and ships systems. Power was to be produced by four Wärtsilä 46F medium-speed four-stroke diesel generating sets; two twelve-cylinder 12V46F engines producing 14,400 kilowatts (19,300 hp) each, and two eight-cylinder 8L46F engines producing 9,600 kilowatts (12,900 hp) each, running on heavy fuel oil and marine gas oil. Propulsion would have been by three azimuth thrusters which would also be used for manoeuvring, while the replica of the rudder of the Titanic II is purely cosmetic, and would not have extended substantially below the waterline. The positioning of the azimuth thrusters necessitated the stern being made substantially more blunt than the original.
Also, the Titanic 2 is designed to have two bow thrusters.
Commissioned by Seven Star Energy Investment, it is to function as a part of Romandisea resort on the River Qi in Sichuan province. Unlike Palmer’s Titanic II, the all-Chinese replica is not intended to sail on any ocean but will be permanently docked within a reservoir. In June 2020 the project’s official media site posted an image of the forecastle section nearly completed.
However, the total height of the ship from the keel to funnels would be the same as the original, at 175 feet (53 m).
The design for the Titanic II was unveiled at worldwide launch events in Macau (China), New York (United States), Halifax (Canada), and London & Southampton (United Kingdom). The gala event in New York was the official Global Launch and was held aboard the USS Intrepid in New York City on 26 February 2013.
