Casting the Fez as an NCIS agent might have been a humorous choice, but since then, he has become a series veteran and a critical part of the show. Unfortunately, it looks increasingly likely that Season 19 will be Valderrama’s last as Agent Torres.
Another reason that it seemed as if Torres might be resigning from NCIS is that there was that episode where he went to a very dark place and nothing was bringing him out of it. When Torres first appeared in the D.C. offices of NCIS, he was a lone wolf.
As you’ll know, Gibbs recently departed from the series and the current season has explored the aftermath and effect this has had on Torres. His retirement continues to take its toll and the latest updates potentially foreshadow another dramatic exit.
The NCIS cast added Wilmer Valderrama to play Agent Nick Torres as a main character back with Michael Weatherly left the show. It was a big change for the NCIS team, as it was always going to be difficult to move on from (very) Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo.
