Jackson Whitsett Passes Away- Former Avery Cheer Team Coach

The Former Avery Cheer Team Coach  Jackson Whitsett has passed away surprisingly.

Jackson Whitsett’s death was made through a post from Rebecca Richey on Facebook

My heart is broken right now. Jackson Lightfoot Whitsett, what will we do without you? Still, 9 years later you were the person I called for all things cheer. You loved my girls and encouraged them so much I could never thank you enough. I will never forget you carrying baby Shay to awards and holding her the entire time while she was passed out asleep. You are the reason and the start of their love for cheer, my girls loved you so much!!! We could have never asked for a better coach and friend. No matter where you went or where your travels took you we always tried to stay in touch and you were always on our minds. Depression sucks and most of the time it’s the ppl you would least expect to commit suicide that does. Pls, check on those that you love their not always okay, watch for signs and just be there for them. Jackson, we love you and hope you find peace now we will always love you, if only you had known that you were enough 💔Forever our favorite coach
❤️❤️❤️

Numerous tributes poured in since the sudden demise of  Jackson Whitsett, Social media users could not hide their shock at his death news.

Below are some tweets about the death news.

I am at such a loss for words.

Jackson Lightfoot Whitsett, you were such an important person in my life. From the minute I had you as my Camp Counselor in the Summer of 2013, I knew I wanted to be just like you and inspire and touch the lives of those at Camp at the Lake. I mean it when I say this: you’re the reason I worked and continue to work for the YMCA Of Montclair for four summers.

I am so heartbroken that you are no longer with us, but you will forever have a special place in my heart.

Heaven gained another Angel today. 🖤

No. No. No. Just got the news that one of my best college friends has passed. NO. 😞

Just a couple of loud kids from the northeast who loved cheerleading trying to find our way in the south. EVERY TIME I was around you I laughed. We said and did the dumbest things. You were my Lady Jack and I was your Catzadddyyyyyy. I’ll never forget you showing up on a bus from New Jersey to Stingrays and how we became instant friends. You were the light for so many of those kids.

Sis. I love you forever. Forever ever. Rest in peace and dance amongst the angels up there. You were such a light. Willy’s cheese dip + Zax fries for life.

Jackson Lightfoot Whitsett

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the deceased’s family and friends, who have been struggling with the loss of such an intelligent and compassionate individual.
