Jacksonville Rapper ‘Jake jhitt’ Shot Dead, What Happened To Rapper ‘Jake jhitt’?

Florida’s Jacksonville Jake Jhitt, an 18-year-old rapper who was shot and died last night in an alleged gang-related attack, is being mourned by the hip-hop community.

Jhitt was regarded as an emerging talent in the rap industry in Jacksonville, becoming well-known for his nasty lyrics and distinctive presentation. He recently released his debut mixtape, “Bitxh Who,” to much acclaim from both fans and reviewers.

Jhitt was reportedly driving home last night at 11 PM when a car drove up next to him and started shooting, according to police accounts. Jhitt’s car was struck several times before it went off the road and collided with a stationary semi-truck. At the scene, he was identified as deceased.

Given that Jhitt was a member of local crews including K4M, OTD, and WAWG, authorities think the shooting might have been a targeted hit from a rival gang. The probe is still ongoing, though.

As word of Jhitt’s passing spread, condolences from devastated fans and other rappers flooded social media. “RIP Jake, gone too soon,” wrote well-known rapper Lil Dex in a tweet. Producer Mizo Beatz, a close friend of Jhitt, stated on Twitter, “Can’t believe someone took my bro from me.”
