Loma Bittick Dies in an Accident, Marsing girls’ Volleyball and Basketball Coach.
A 65-year-old Caldwell woman was thrown from a pickup truck near Greenleaf on Thursday evening and died as a result, according to Idaho State Police.
The woman was Loma Bittick, the coach of the school’s girls’ basketball and volleyball teams, according to a Greenleaf Friends Academy Facebook post.
A beloved coach at Greenleaf Friends Academy passed away in a vehicle accident shortly before her team’s district final on Thursday, and the school is in deep mourning.
Coach Loma Bittick, who oversaw the school’s volleyball and basketball teams for girls, was killed in the collision, according to a statement on the institution’s Facebook page.
The collision took place at the intersection of Friends Road and Lower Pleasant Ridge Road, a block south of the school, around 5:15 p.m., according to an Idaho State Police press release, which Freeman verified was about the collision that claimed Loma Bittick’s life.
