Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg is an American actor, businessman, and former rapper under the stage name Marky Mark. During his career, he has received multiple accolades including a BAFTA Award.

Mark Wahlberg was born as the youngest of nine children of Alma Elaine and Donald Edmond Wahlberg Sr. His mother was a bank clerk and a nurse’s aide and his father was a delivery driver and U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

His parents divorced in 1982. Wahlberg’s siblings are also in the entertainment industry. His brother Robert, is an actor who has appeared in films such as Southie, Mystic River, and The Departed.

His other brother Donnie, is a singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, record producer, and film producer. He is best known as a founding member of the boy band New Kids on the Block.

Jim Wahlberg, another older brother, is an activist, speaker, director, producer, and writer.
