Meet Irving Sorkin, Joyce Sorkin

Arleen Sorkin, an American actress, screenwriter, presenter, and comedian in retirement, was born on October 14, 1955.

For her role as Calliope Jones on the NBC daytime drama Days of Our Lives and for inspiring and providing the voice for Harley Quinn in Batman: The Animated Series and the countless animated series and computer games that followed, developed by her college classmate Paul Dini, Sorkin is well-known.

On Days of Our Lives, she played the crazy yet endearing Calliope Jones, one of her most notable roles. She performed in this role from 1984 until 1990, and then again in 1992 and 2001.
