Tanya S. Chutkan has two siblings, a brother named Norman Chutkan and a sister named Robynne Chutkan, and both of her siblings are physicians.

The siblings share the same parents and were born to Winston Chutkan their father and Noelle their mother. Their father is an Indo-Jamaican doctor and their mother is an Afro-Jamaican. Their mother was one of the leading dancers at the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica.

Robynne Chutkan is 57 years old and was born in 1966. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Yale University and her medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she also served as chief resident and completed her internship and residency. She finished her gastrointestinal residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Robynne Chutkan is a married woman and she is married to her husband Eric Mann. The couple share a daughter.
