Mom, 9-Year-Old Daughter Axed to Death in NJ Home: Family

NJ Roselle April 19, 2023–According to the Union County prosecutor’s office, a girl and her mother are among the victims of a double homicide that is currently under investigation in New Jersey.

According to his sister Atasha Scott, the victim’s spouse hurried home to look into the incident and discovered bloody sheets in his bedroom. The mother and daughter’s remains were found beneath a bed when police arrived at the residence. According to Scott, the killer “wrapped them up in bed sheets, stuffed them under my niece’s bed.”

In his bedroom, the distraught father and husband discovered what seemed to be the murder weapon—a bloodied axe—stuffed between two mattresses.

The brother’s behavior raised suspicion in the family, who claimed that he might have been jealous of his brother’s lifestyle.

On June 6, [Keisha’s] birthday recently past. She, my brother, and I went out to celebrate her birthday and the month of her birthday. This man was envious of his brother and his possessions. Scott stated that the young girl would have turned 10 on April 23. “He wanted what he had,” Scott claimed.

She and my daughter are best friends; I don’t know what I’m going to say to her about that.

“Like something from Lifetime. Scott added, “I feel like I’m in ‘The Twilight Zone’ right now.

The suspect, who is a person of interest in the homicide investigation, has been detained by Maryland State Police.

Everoy Morrison, 44, was taken into custody shortly after 3 o’clock. Morrison was discovered using the stolen silver BMW equipped with New Jersey license plates.

According to troopers, Morrison is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center while he is being sought by New Jersey.
