Mount Holly Police Releases Names of Victims Involved in Fatal Shooting Incident
Two males, Jayden Dae’Shun Munson and Jaylan Marray Jackson, have been identified as the victims of a fatal shooting incident on Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street in Mount Holly, NC. The Mount Holly Police Department received multiple calls reporting gunshots in the area on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Upon arrival, the victims were discovered inside a passenger vehicle, both of whom appeared to have sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. The Mount Holly Fire Department and Gaston County Emergency Management Services arrived immediately, and both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.

In the evening hours of Thursday, December 14, 2023, at approximately 8:11 PM, the Mount Holly Police Department’s 911 Center received multiple calls from concerned citizens reporting gunshots in the vicinity of Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street. Upon the arrival of Mount Holly Police officers, the victims were discovered inside a passenger vehicle, both of whom appeared to have sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Mount Holly Fire Department and Gaston County Emergency Management Services arrived immediately following the officers, and despite immediate medical attention, both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
