On July 31, 2022, Abigail Grace Godfrey, 20, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital

Her devoted family will mourn her terribly. On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, a viewing was made from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM whic was  followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, PA. Certified Celebrant Allison Duke will preside. Susquehanna Memorial Gardens will be used for burial after. Abigail Godfrey was the daughter of Thomas E. and Nancy A. (Cain) Godfrey, Jr., and was born in York on June 12, 2002. The 2020 graduating class of Dallastown Area High School included Abigail.

Abigail cherished spending time with her cat Romeo and helping at Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter during her free time. After she passed away, Abigail was able to save the lives of eight others through Gift of Life. Aside from her parents, Thomas E. Godfrey, Jr. and Nancy A. (Cain) Godfrey, Abigail is survived by her three brothers, Christopher T. Godfrey, Derrick T. Godfrey (Emily), and Ethan J. Madison; her niece Harper L. Godfrey; nephew Landon J. Godfrey; and her cherished cat Romeo. Donations to Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter, Inc. can be made in lieu of flowers at their address.
