Jake was a Bethlehem native and the son of Kutztown residents Stephen K. and Carol J. (Sell) Fairchild.

Jake earned a degree in diesel mechanics from Lehigh Career and Technical College in Schnecksville after graduating in 2015 from Kutztown Area High School, where he played soccer and ran track. Additionally, Jake obtained his Commercial Driver’s Certificate.

He worked for Pottle’s Trucking, LLC, Kutztown, for three years as a diesel mechanic.

He had previously worked for Kenworth. Jake was a devout Christian who belonged to the Lenhartsville Rod and Gun Association as well as the Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church in Dryville. Jake joined Scout Troop 101 and subsequently Troop 132 when he was younger, where he attained the rank of Life Scout. He was a die-hard Bengals supporter and fan of sports.
