UPDATE: Woman Identified in Miramar Beach Death Investigation
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the woman central to an ongoing death investigation in Miramar Beach.
The individual found deceased in a wooded area near the Okaloosa and Walton County line, close to the entrance of the Emerald Bay subdivision, has been identified as Renee Denise Eggers, aged 41.
On Monday, July 31st, deputies were summoned to the scene shortly before noon following the discovery made by employees from Emerald Bay.
While it is believed that Renee Denise Eggers was homeless at the time of her passing, her last known address traces back to Indiana. Her family has been located and notified of the unfortunate incident.
The autopsy report is still awaited while the investigation continues. Law enforcement is still actively pursuing leads and gathering information. More information will be made available to the public as soon as it is available.
