The management team of Ronan Vibert, who played P.L. Travers’ publisher Diarmuid Russell in Saving Mr. Banks, Giovanni Sforza in Showtime’s The Borgias, and Perry Cline in History’s Hatfields & McCoys, has confirmed his death at 58.
Born February 23, 1964, he died Thursday, December 22, 2022.
Although Ronan was raised in South Wales and Cambridge, he recently relocated to Florida in the United States. In 1989’s Traffik, he made his acting debut. The series served as the inspiration for Steven Soderbergh’s 2000 Oscar-winning film Traffic.
He later made his big-screen debut in the 2000 film Shadow Of The Vampire alongside John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe.
Parents and Siblings
He was the son of Dilys and David Vibert, both artists.
Cevn Vibert was his brother.

Survivors include his wife, Jess Grand Vibert. He had no kids.
As a sharp character actor known for his performances on television on both sides of the Atlantic, Ronan Vibert will be remembered.
