Rubi Antonio Bonilla Died in a fatal vehicle crash in Jefferson County

A 27-year-old lady Rubi Antonio lost her life early on Sunday after colliding with two other cars on Dixie Highway.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Alicia Smiley, officers were called to the multi-vehicle accident in the 6800 block of Dixie Highway at around 12:30 a.m.

According to police, a third vehicle crashed into the center car for an unknown reason, causing it to push into the vehicle in the right lane as two vehicles were stopped at a red light in the middle and right lanes.

The third vehicle’s driver, who was responsible for the collision, was taken to University Hospital, where she passed away. The victim was named as Rubi Bonilla by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Sunday morning.

According to police, no one else was hurt in the collision.

The Traffic Section of LMPD is looking into it.
