Tatiana N. David Found dead: Cause of death, Obituary and Funeral
A woman who was reportedly abducted on her birthday in New York was later found dead in Virginia on the same day.
The suspect, Michael C. Davis, allegedly forced Tatiana N. David, his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend and mother of his 4-year-old child, into a white SUV in Ithaca.
New York State Police initiated a search for the victim and suspect, with an endangered adult alert issued statewide.
Later, Virginia State Police spotted the suspect’s vehicle on Interstate 495, crossing into Virginia. A trooper pulled over the Jeep Cherokee and identified Davis as the wanted abduction suspect.
As the trooper was walking back to the Jeep, the SUV pulled away at a high speed and a pursuit was initiated.
The fleeing SUV crashed into the woods in Prince William County, Virginia. As troopers approached the SUV, Davis started shooting at them, and they returned fire.
Davis was critically injured, and David was found dead with a gunshot wound outside the vehicle. No police officers were injured in the shooting.
