He led the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) with 20.3 yards per reception as a sophomore and tied the school record with 12 touchdowns on 51 grabs for 1,034 yards. In a defeat against the Virginia Cavaliers, he caught six receptions for 202 yards and three touchdowns, earning him the title of ACC Receiver of the Week. Following a six reception, 150 yard performance against NC State, he was once more awarded receiver of the week.
