Yang Yong-Eun is a well-known golfer who was born in South Korea on January 15, 1972. He won the PGA Championship a decade ago and finished third in the US Open in 2011.
He currently competes on the PGA Tour, where he has twice won, most notably the 2009 PGA Championship, which he won after coming from behind to defeat Tiger Woods. After completing his service, he relocated to New Zealand to pursue a professional golf career. He went semi-pro on July 21, 1995, and became a pro on August 22, 1996.

Yang has three sons with his wife, Young-Joo Park. Hyeonwoo, his eldest son, is a huge fan of his father and can be found at every game he plays. His second and final sons are Isu and Kyungmin.
Yang is the active owner of an indoor golf range in Dallas’ Koreatown neighborhood. He now lives in Southlake, Texas, close to fellow South Korean PGA player K. J. Choi.
